Christmas lights, carousels and carriage rides oh my! The annual Elk City Christmas in the Park extravaganza lights up the night this weekend at Ackley Park located on historic Rt. 66 in Elk City, Oklahoma

Activities include rides on the candy cane express train, old fashioned horse-drawn carriages and rides on the centennial carousel.Catch a ride on the double-decker bus and see thousands of beautiful light displays while you enjoy delicious hot cocoa and hot dogs, all free on Friday and Saturday nights from 6:00pm till 9:00pm.

Visit the Gingerbread Gift Shoppe for the new 2011 Christmas Limited Edition Ornament, and a few of the ones from the past if you missed them. Also last minute gift items and some fun things for the kids, then stop by and see Santa Claus on his sleigh.

Admission is FREE so make plans to bring your family and your camera’s to Elk City’s Christmas in the Park.

Take Exit 38 off I 40 and follow the sign to Christmas in the Park

Light hours are every night until 11:00 with special actives every Friday and Saturday night from 6:00-9:00,
