Washita Battlefield National Historic Site, Cheyenne, Oklahoma is the site of an attack of a Cheyenne village by the US Cavalry at dawn on November 27, 1868. Visitors can begin their experience at the park’s Visitor Center and view exhibits and browse through the bookstore in the gallery. Ranger-led talks and tours are available Memorial day through Labor Day.
